FRC Team 7407, also known as the Wired Boars, represents Choate Rosemary Hall, a private high school located in Wallingford, Connecticut. Founded in 2019, the team competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition, showcasing students’ creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills. Choate’s emphasis on innovation and experiential learning is exemplified through the Wired Boars’ dedication to building and programming competitive robots. The team benefits from the school’s strong STEM curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities, and a culture that encourages curiosity and problem-solving. Through competitions and outreach, FRC 7407 reflects Choate’s mission to inspire excellence, collaboration, and leadership in a rapidly evolving technological world.
Since 2009, Choate Rosemary Hall has given students the opportunity to explore and develop their interest in robotics through a variety of introductory and intermediate academic courses, an interscholastic team that competes in multiple competitions, and an Advanced Robotics Concentration (ARC) signature program.
Since the 2019 season, the Choate Robotics Team has competed as Team 7407 in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), an international competition that “combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.” Students produce a game-playing robot to compete in alliance with other teams.
