RECAP
Team 7407 is slated to participate in 2 New England district events.
At the week 1 Granite State Event in Salem, NH, 7407 achieved a rank 1 placing after a 12-0 qualification round run. As the 1st Alliance Captain, we selected teams 6328 and 1729 as our partners, and proceeded to win the event with an overall record of 18-0. We also won an Innovation in Control Award, and two of our members, Sebastian ’24 and Valerie ’23, were named as the Dean’s List Semi-finalists from Granite State to compete at the District Championship.
At the week 6 Hartford Event in Hartford, CT, 7407 achieved a rank 2 placing after an 11-1 qualification round run. We were selected by the 1st Alliance Captain, team 230, and proceeded to the event finals. We fell 1-2 to the 2nd seed alliance. We also won the Engineering Inspiration Award. After the quarterfinal round at Hartford, we were pleased to learn that we had essentially locked a spot in the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX, as one of the 16 pre-qualifying teams from New England.
After 6 weeks, we finished as the 4th ranked team by district points in New England. Our robot was also ranked 1st in New England and 21st in the world by OPR.
We’re so excited to be heading to Worlds for the first time in our team history! See you in Houston, y’all!
